A "courtesy" tech support (no charge) is as follows, provided that the client responsibility (stated below) is fulfilled:

  • initial configuration set up of dial up connection
  • e-mail configuration set up
  • ftp configuration set up (does not include writing html, cgi, or javascripts, etc…). We do offer a handout (for Windows 95/98 only) on how to post a website in your ftp space.

Any other subject topics for tech support are classified as "non-courtesy" and subject to a fee of $30.00/hr. pending the technician’s discretion.

The client’s responsibility is as follows:

  • To make sure that the operating system (Windows or Mac-OS) is properly running (not crashing)
  • The user has minimal knowledge of how to use their operating system
    (i.e. how to double click, use mouse, type in entry boxes, read the screen/monitor, recognize buttons on the keyboard, etc…)
  • To make sure client is familiar with using their software
  • Modem is properly installed

If any of these criteria are in questionable status, technical support can be given for a fee of $30.00/hour.
