Two Subwoofers by Tom Woods. One has a 1259 in it, and the other has a Shiva. Listening to the two back to back showed little difference except that the Shiva was a little louder.

This Sub by Dave Crawford uses a Shiva and an Avatar 15 inch Passive Radiator. This was the little Subwoofer that tried. Using two bridged Parapix amps, it was driven into clipping several times trying to keep up in the large listening room. It sounded fine at lower levels, but could have used a larger amp.

Here is Tom Woods using a strobe light on Dave's Shiva. I tried to get a stop action shot but the flash overpowered the little strobe. It was a fun diversion, but the constant clicking was annoying at times.

ContraBass by Eric Bamberg. Speaker performance is impressive! A new enclosure needs to be made. The prototype is not as stalwart as need be. Cost, sans amplifier, is near $1K.

The ultimate car Sub. This ought to draw some attention! ContraBass in the back of Dennis Hardesty's minivan.Hubba Hubba!

Careful thought went into each demomstration. If only I could have concentrated like this when I was in school!

Nice looking amp. Even better if you get rid of all the wires.

ORCA provided this two-way utilizing a 7 inch dual voice coil mid and a Raven R1 tweeter. Next to that is the Geoffrey Dillon designed, Steve Schenkel built two way. It uses a Peerless 6.5 HDS and a Hiquifon tweeter.

This is a 10 inch driver from TC Sounds. Huge x-max, hefty in wieght. Also available in a 15. Rudi is the dealer.

Mike Ford, Steve Schenkel, and Steve Houlihan having a good time.

Dr Bruce Edgar, foreground,(designer of the Edgarhorns) deep in contemplation. One of several complimentary copies of Speaker Builder Magazine was precisely positioned to block out the light from the overhead spotlights by the gentleman next to Bruce. Closing one's eyes can be critical to the process of evaluation by keeping extraneous visual input from muddling the brain.

A unique subwoofer design that also minimizes wall flexure.

A partial bird's eye view of the Laser Media demo room. The room is much larger than the picture depicts. Behind the listeners and in an overhead booth are controls for the Laser Light Show demos.

Bass list attendees assuming the (listening) position.

"The Rock" used a Lineaum tweeter. Next to it is Dave Crawford's beautiful Aria 5 and Wayne Schenkel's Aria 5. Beauty and the beast.

Upon returning to Sacramento Airport and seeing how the baggage handlers stack the suitcases of arriving passengers, I was very gratefull that all I was carrying was a camera, sweater and two CDs
