  • Select 'Dial-Up Networking'


  • Click 'New'


  • Entry Name: SurfnetUSA
  • Comments: Leave Blank
  • Phone Number: Click here to find out your access number
  • Make sure the proper modem is selected.
  • Click the 'Server' Tab


  • Type of Dial-Up Server: PPP: WindowsNT, Windows95 Plus, Internet
  • Network Protocols: [x] TCP/IP (ONLY)
  • [x] Enable Software Compression
  • [o] Enable PPP LCP Extensions
  • Click the 'TCP/IP' Settings button


  • (*) Server assigned IP Address
  • (*) Specify name server addresses
  • Primary DNS: 208.201.152.2
  • Secondard DNS: 208.201.152.3
  • Primary WINS: 0.0.0.0
  • Secondary WINS: 0.0.0.0
  • [o] Use IP Header compression
  • [x] Use Default gateway on remote network
  • Click 'OK' (brings you back to Phonebook Entry)
  • Click 'OK' (brings you back to Dial-Up Networking)
  • Click 'Dial' to connect
