Setup for Netscape 4
The Following instructions are to be completed after the installation of Netscape Navigator/Communicator version 4.
  1. Click "Start"
  2. Click "Programs"
  3. Click "Netscape"
  4. Click "Utilities"
  5. Click "User Profile Manager"
  1. CREATING A NEW PROFILE
    • Click "Next"
    • Type in Your Name
    • Type in Your Email Address (username@surfnetusa.com)
    • Click "Next"
    • The profile and profile location will automatically be named to your user name. Change this if you wish.
    • Type in Your Name ( should be there already )
    • Type in Your Email Address ( should be there already )
    • Outgoing Mail Server: mail.surfnetusa.com
    • Click "Next"
    • Mail Server Name: ( enter your user name )
    • Incoming Mail Server: mail.surfnetusa.com
    • Mail Server Type: POP3
    • Click "Next"
    • News Server: news.surfnetusa.com
    • Port: 119
    • DO NOT check "secure"
    • Click "Finished"
  2. EDITING YOUR SETTINGS
    • Click "Edit"
    • Click "Preferances"
    • the preferances screen will now appear>
    • Edit your preferances as needed
    • Click "OK" to Save or "Cancel" if you made mistakes
