1: In having this vehicle made, I was looking not so much for something speedy (I have an e-bike for that) as something durable, strong, capable of carrying gear, and something that would be comfortable to travel in all day, something I could use to access remote places where cars are not permitted... but that I could also use as my everyday "errand truck"... for shopping, for "house calls" (I'm a computer/internet technician and need to carry gear/tools/laptop)... in short, the HPV version of an SUV... The Trike was made by Greenspeed in Australia. After a year lurking on the Internet, researching and kibitzing with various trikers, I decided this was the trike for me... I have not been disappointed... they did an excellent job and I would be happy to recommend them to anyone. I wanted a lot of extras and am by nature a little prickly to deal with... they maintained their sense of humor and gave me almost exactly what I wanted.. in many cases politely correcting my errors in judgement and setting me on the right path... the trike is exactly what I wanted and more... KUDOS to Ian and Mick Sims and the entire family!

2: I like color (note prolific use of "spinsocks": these are colorful and well made) and music... my radio is usually tuned to my local neighborhood station KUSP, 88.9 FM if you are in the area. This is a great station designed to bring a big grin to your face... the quintessential California public radio station...

3: In the evenings in the African Villages we use to sit around a charcoal brazier drinking strong green tea mixed with mint and sugar ("warga") out under the moon listening to the shortwave radio, usually "Voix de'Amerique (Voice of America) playing the blues, or a Marabout from Mauratania chanting the Koran, or wonderful kora music from Senegal... it was there I first thought of the idea of combining traditional lifestyles with modern third wave technologies... this trike is a "natural" progression of that idea, so you'll notice that I carry plenty of modern communications gear and radios... a (perhaps surprising) combination of low tech/high tech... traveling at traditonal village speeds while keeping in touch with the "global village"... for it is my belief that these new technologies will allow us to return to more traditional folkways more in tune with millenia of human evolution...
